Location: The 2018 Cal-Stewart meet will again be held at the Glendale Civic Auditorium, 1401 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale, CA 91208.
The auditorium is a 25,000 square foot multi-level meeting and exhibition facility. The venue is located about 7 miles west of Pasadena where the Cal-Stewart meet was held for many years. The Glendale Civic has been the home of the Glendale Toy Show, which many of our members regularly attend. Hotels, motels and restaurants are only a short drive away and the Burbank airport is just 10 miles distance.
Parking: There is a 400 car parking garage on premises and parking only costs $6 per day (no in-and-out privileges). Or you can find free parking on nearby residential streets or metered parking for 75 cents an hour in a public parking lot south of Mountain Street. Sellers will be able to temporarily park next to the building for easy loading and unloading. There is no charge for parking on set-up Friday.
Directions: The Glendale Civic Auditorium is located in the city of Glendale and is conveniently reached from all points in Southern California. It is accessible from the #134 freeway or the #2 freeway. Going East or West on route #134, exit N. Glendale Ave, turn North and merge onto Verdugo Road. The Civic Auditorium will be on the left hand (West) side of the street. From the #2 Freeway North or South take the E. Mountain Street exit, head East and turn right at Verdugo Road heading North.
Food:The club is arranging for food truck vendors to be on-site outside the lower floor Hall entrance serving breakfast and lunch. Attendees may also bring in their own food and drinks without restriction. There are some small eating establishments within walking distance across from the college. A guide to local restaurants will be available at the Registration Desk. There are also several nice restaurants located in Montrose, which is north of the Glendale Civic Auditorium.
Lodging: There are no hotels or motels within walking distance, but there are plenty of hotels south of the #134 freeway in Glendale and Eagle Rock. The closest hotel is the Hilton at about 1.5 miles away. Most of the rest are from 2 to 4 miles distance. We recommend that you check on line to find a hotel or motel at hotels.com, booking.com, trivago.com, priceline.com, or tripadvisor.com.
